MRS. RODRIGUEZ
Fabulous Fruit of the Week
Each student will have a turn to be the Fabulous Fruit of the week!
A blank "Fabulous Fruit of the Week" poster was included in everyone's bag they picked up in August. They can decorate their poster to share with their classmates, virtually. The Fabulous Fruit of the Week will have an opportunity to share their item(s) each day. Please have items close by so they are prepared to share at any point during the day.
MONDAY
Present their star student poster to the class.
TUESDAY
Share their favorite book. Be prepared to tell why the book is your favorite and mark your favorite part(s) to share.
WEDNESDAY
Share 3-5 items to with the class. (Examples: work of art child has done, trophy, a book your child has written, an award or anything else of which your child is particularly proud of).
THURSDAY
Items for estimation! Count them and write 2-3 clues that will help us guess the number of items. Please write down the # of items, and include this in a Ziploc bag with the items (in case your child forgets!) Item examples: marbles, coins, erasers, seashells, beads, pasta, buttons, lollipops, small candies, marshmallows, pencils, stickers, etc.
FRIDAY
Parent letter day. Please email me a note about your child. I will read the letter to the class. The content of the letter is up to you, but here are some possible ideas from previous years: describe special or funny stories about your child for the class to hear. Write a silly or serious poem about your child, tell us some interesting things we may not know about your child. Optional: send silly or special pictures. The kids really enjoy the special notes sent in by parents, or even a surprise note from a family friend or another relative ;)

Celebrating Birthdays
Birthdays are such an exciting thing to celebrate. As a class we are aware of birthdays and will celebrate our special classmate by trying our best to make sure they feel extra special on their day!
~Students' with summer birthdays/birthdays that fall on a non-school day can celebrate on a date of their choice!!
